Paint & Finish Experience

JM Gere Paint & Finish was founded by Jody Gere, a journey level painter with 28 years in the trade. Jody comes from a family of painters. He began working in the trade at 17 years old. At age 20 he joined the painters union as an apprentice. Upon graduating the apprenticeship, Jody continued his formal education by taking journey level upgrade classes at the Painters’ Advanced Training Institute in South Seattle.

Thirteen years of formal training and experience working for great companies like LC Jergens, Long, BMP, Stordahl and Sons, Todd, Foss, Marco, Seaview Boatyard, Leclercq Marine, Guernsey Ostergard, Grund, and The Painters Inc. taught Jody to provide the very best in quality, safety and service.

Since 2004 he has been been providing the same quality, safety and service through his own small business, focusing on building a good reputation by catering to customer’s specific needs. Jody will personally see your job through and make sure that his employees live up to his standards and carry themselves in a courteous and professional manner.

Jody has been a proud member of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America and stays educated through the PDCA contractor college. His relationship with Sherwin Williams, Rudd, and Kelly Moore keeps him up to date on the latest technology. For fun Jody builds custom drums, repairs and refinishes (and plays!) vintage drum sets. When he is not building or painting something, odds are you will find him at the dog park or perfecting his many aquariums.
